Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth

10/04/2016

A $20,000 grant to Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth is helping provide rapid-response counselling to high-risk youth aged 14-24 and their families in helping to resolve issues that can lead to family breakdown and homelessness. It will also connect youth and their families to appropriate health care and community supports, including mental health services.

In 2015, Eva’s provided emergency shelter and transitional housing for more than 825 youth experiencing homelessness and over 5,000 participants took advantage of its health care, family counselling, employment training, life skills and other programming.
