Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s – Friends

A youth-serving organization that has been providing programs since 1946, the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s is using this $30,000 grant to bring a new program to the province – FRIENDS helps children and youth build emotional resilience and anxiety management skills.

“It is because of foundations such as Medavie Health Foundation that we are able to achieve our goal of  delivering accessible programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life for the children, youth and families we serve,” said Melissa Slaney-Rose, Resource Development Coordinator, Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s. “The FRIENDS program is helping to build bridges and opportunities in creating healthy community solutions, while providing children and youth with the skills they need for optimal development.”
