Algoma Family Services Walk In Counselling Service10/05/2016
A $15,000 Foundation grant is supporting Algoma Family Services in providing youth in Algoma District with free and timely access to walk-in mental health counselling. The service is available to those aged zero to 18 and their families, without a referral from a physician or other agency. It is staffed by registered mental health professionals from Algoma Family Walk-In Counselling Services and their partner agencies, including Algoma Public Health, Canadian Mental Health Association, John Howard Society and Sault Area Health.
Located at 386 Queen St. East, the counselling service is available every Tuesday, from 11:30 am to 7 pm. For more information, call 705-759-0458. The Foundation also supported the service in 2015, bringing our total funding support to $45,000.
